Research Interests

Dr. Avci focuses on creating intelligent, sustainable and energy efficient structural systems utilizing novel methods, multi-functional materials and state of the art technologies. Based on this primary goal, Dr. Avci’s research team strives to optimize the design of new structures and improve the performance of existing structures to ultimately create energy efficient and resilient structural systems; intelligent networks and sustainable cities. With that, Dr. Avci’s research interests can be categorized under the following focus groups
